At some point in time we all experience a little displeasure now and then. Some who are blinded criticize Christians because they think because we believe in God and especially His prosperity; we ought not to experience difficulties in life.
Truth is living for the Lord and believing the Christ came that we may live an abundant and prosperous life is a choice we make made regardless of the trials that come along; and they will come no matter who you are.
It doesn't matter how long you've been saved, how much you do right, or how much you love God. 1 Peter 4:12 says,
"Do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something (unusual and alien to you) were befalling you" (Amplified Bible Version).
No one is exempt from trials! Why? Because there's an enemy whose only mission is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). He works hard to influence our thinking and cause us to make choices that are not good. These choices, which are the "cause," lead to an "effect," which are a result.
Oftentimes we can also find ourselves in negative circumstances because of the choices others make.
Beloved, if you find yourself in a negative circumstance today, just know that what Satan means for your harm, God will use for your good. I have seen it over and over in my own life. You may not be delivered out of your problems immediately. But rest assured God will use your negative circumstances for your benefit and for His glory.
Even though many things in life are not within our control, one thing is - how we react to negative circumstances. Our attitude is the determining factor that moves us out of negative circumstances and into more positive ones. One thing I know for sure that helps to get out of a negative attitude is Praise.
Praise absolutely stops the enemy in his tracks and confuses him. He is bewildered at how we can still praise God in the midst of his relentless attack.
After praise is Prayer, a prayer of confession. The Word of God declares that we overcome by the Word of testimony. The word of our testimony is what comes out of our mouth.
Let confuse the enemy a little bit here. Let's declare (speak out loud) that as children of the most High Almighty God.
Our God is the God who gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak " Isaiah 40:29
Our God is the God who has redeemed us and summoned us by name; we are His" Isaiah 43:1
Our God is the God who is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1
Our God is the God who is faithful, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands." Deut.7:9
The God who whose unfailing love for us will not be shaken nor His covenant of peace be removed." Isaiah 54:10
Our God is the God who instructs us and teach us in the way we should go; who counsels us and watch over us." Psalm 32:8
Our God is the God who turns darkness into light before us and makes the rough places smooth. Isaiah 42:16
Our God is the God who sustains us, who made us and will carry us and will rescue us. Isaiah 46:4
Our God is the God who adds years to our life." Proverbs 9:11
Our God is the God who said no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what He has prepared for us his children." 1 Cor. 2:9
Our God is the God who longs to be gracious to us; so much so that He rises to show us compassion. Isaiah 30:18
Our God is the God who gives us His peace which transcends all understanding, and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:7
Our God is the God who despite His sovereignty we His children call upon Him and He will take the time to us." Jeremiah 29:12
Our God is the God who says "Before we call He will answer; while we are still speaking He will hear." Isaiah 65:24
Our God is the God who says that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." 1 John 5:14
Our God is the God who keeps us from all harm both now and forevermore." Psalm 121:7, 8
Our God is the God who walks with us through the waters and keeps them from overtaking us. Who covers us and walks through the fire so we will not be burned, keeping the flames from setting us ablaze." Isaiah 43:1,2
Our God is the God who loves us so much that our Saviour appeared and saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Saviour. " Titus 3:4-6
Our God is the God who showers us with me riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity. Whose fruit is better than fine gold surpasses choice silver." Proverbs 8: 18,19
Now let's confuse Satan some more and pray the Word of God! Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, I declare that I have your favor today! I declare that I am strong and well able to fulfill my God given destiny; I know you are fighting my battles for me. I declare that I am a victor and not a victim. I may have been defeated in the past but the past is past, this is new day.
Your word says that "I am the head and not the tail" "I will lend and I will not borrow". Every thing I touch will prosper and succeed according to your perfect will because of your favor my Father. I declare that by your stripes I am healed today. I will live and not die. I declare that you are restoring health unto me, and with long life you satisfy me.
Father, today, I declare your favor in my relationship with you, favor in my relationship with my spouse and my family, favor in relationships with my friends, and favor in relationships in my business. I want to thank you for causing me to be at the right place at the right time. I want to thank you for causing people to want to help me and making me a blessing to help others.
Today, Father I want to thank you for blessing me with creativity, I want to thank you for causing me to make good decisions with a clear mind. I declare that you are smiling down on me today and that your favor will be in everything I do because I am pleasing to you. I declare that I will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country, blessed coming in and blessed going out.
I claim right now, Psalm 84:11 that you are blessing me with favor and honor and no good thing will you withhold from me because my walk is blameless. I claim Habakkuk 2:3 that my vision is for an appointed time. Though it may tarry, I will earnestly wait for it, for it will surely come.
I declare today that I am filled with your can do power my Father. Between you and me, we are the majority and I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I know that your Word says that, "no man has seen, heard or even imagined the wonderful things that you have in store for those that love you" and I want to tell you this morning that I love you and I want to thank you for loving me.
I want to thank you for your favor today, not because of who I am, but because of whose I am. I am a child of the most high God, the creator of the whole universe. I commit this day to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

All of us know that the fourth of July is a celebration of our independence as a country, a nation united by people of all ages, classes, color, and backgrounds that cherish freedom, won't tolerate oppression, and want to be able to live life to the fullest in whatever manner they feel is appropriate.
So while we're celebrating our freedom that the Lord has so graciously granted us as a country, we should also take a moment to thank God for our personal freedom that He so lovingly gave us on the Cross at Calvary: Our freedom in Christ.

Brilliant and powerful, your star crossed the sky
It was impossible to view with the naked eye
Eclipsing the sun, it rocked the universe
Here on Earth, it shook the foundation
Of all we knew, of everything established
Away with the old, something new has come
All borders collapsed; an unstoppable instrument
You gave love, life, laughter, hope, inspiration
A sight to behold, tales will surely be told
Of all you freely gave, asking little in return
Something shifted, changed; the cosmos rearranged
Dignity incarnate, you marched onward
Always looking forward; the hope for better days
Your head held high, you still beheld the lowly
Swaddling everyone, you held them tight
Allowed them to feel your unending affection
The end in sight, you gave a final gift
A burst of brightness, an extra dose of love
Energy spent, transcending hardships and pain
You looked to the future, became something new
One thing certain to stand the test of time
Is the undying love you left behind
Always in your heart, forever safe and secure
Is the world you touched, graced with your beauty
Equally unforgettable will be your majesty
One thing I know; a thing that's true
Deep inside of me and the hearts of the world
From now on, to the end of time and beyond
You will never be forgotten, always in our hearts
Your star will remain, burning brighter than ever before

Most disappointments are blessings. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what happens within you or how you handle what
happens to you. It is up to you to accept or believe that all your disappointments into
blessings to you.
Toward the end of the World War II, in a small town in southern Japan, a
man and his son were to travel to sell their farm produce in a big city, which they do often
and always arrive as early as 9:00am. On this day, august the 6th 1945, the son had to help
a neighbor to the hospital and on returning, the man was furious at his son because the time
he spent helping the neighbor would make them arrive late at the city market.
They left all
the same, and arrived at about at about an hour later than usual, but... the city was no more!!
The city had been razed by a nuclear bomb. Had they arrived 30 minutes earlier they would
have been destroyed along with all who were at the market that morning. That was
the day the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
There's never any profit in rebellion; one person's lack of repentance can have a devastating affect on the body of Christ. The apostle Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 5:6
that a little yeast can seep into the entire batch and destroy it.
See, what Paul was saying was that when other members of the body of Christ see a brother or sister deliberately sin, there's a risk of them saying
to themselves, "Well, hey, God didn't do anything to so and so and if they're
getting away with it, so can I." And on and on it could go until everyone in the
congregation is worse off than before they were saved or redeemed from the
world.
In that case, the church might as well be stripped naked, tied down, and left waiting for a sleaze ball to come along and take advantage of it--we
have to do our best to avoid letting that happen.
The body of Christ has to be a cohesive unit in order to be effective. In order to remain strong, to resist blowing in the wind every which way like a feather or some other lightweight object, we have to expel certain people, but only when there's
no other alternative.
Taking a look at 1 Corinthians 5, we can see that a member of Christ's body rebelled against God and His Word, threatened to take the entire congregation off the good path with him, leaving Paul and the rest of the church with no other options than to make the man leave the church for a time, to,
"hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord."
Paul goes on to say that we shouldn't apply these same rules to the people of the world, or non-believers, as they're part of the world, not part of the body of Christ and they are
sinning out of ignorance. With them, we need to do all we can to guide them to the light of Christ
while making sure that
our churches are seeker sensitive.
But how can we be a witness to them if we won't even speak to them, or if we're inadvertently snubbing them by gearing our churches toward those who have an appetite for
the meat of God's Word, or have fat wallets?
He was talking specifically about a believer that is seriously backsliding and refuses to repent.
It's their behavior that could encourage other believers to trip and fall.
Two types of people that Paul was talking about are the wolves in sheep's clothing and the Sunday believers--I'm
sure you can think of even more.
The Sunday believers act like believers while they're in church. Some even carry it through the entire day. Then, during the remainder of the week, they live like the rest of the world. If their belief is genuine,
with encouragement, they'll come back eventually, living as a good example every day of the week.
We need to keep in mind that every day, every minute that we're given belongs to the
Lord; we should live our lives
accordingly.
The wolves in sheep's clothing are the people who come off acting all sweet and innocent and
then go after the body of Christ to rip it to shreds in the most brutal manner imaginable, like the devil himself.
These are the people that we shouldn't allow into our churches or into our
lives.
But how do we know the appropriate action to take?
It's one thing to sin unintentionally or in ignorance; for that, an abundance of absolution
is called for. But what if someone is caught in the grip of sexual sin and won't walk away from it? What if someone is a chronic thief, looking out for no one besides number one, ripping the old and the young off? How about if he or she is doing other things that he or she knows is against God, and against others,
but refuses to knock it off?
The remedy can be found in Luke 17 and in Matthew 18:15-17. If you've had a frank discussion with him or her and he or she repents
don't forget to praise God because He brought a brother or sister back.
But if the behavior continues and several solid members of the church have confronted him or her in a loving way, but
he or she still refuses to stop being naughty (Don't ya just love that word...
naughty.) Paul advises us to cut the cord; let the person follow the ways of Satan for a time, all the while praying for him or her to return to the Lord,
and to the church.
"My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice," Jesus said in Luke 8:21.
Just like Jesus is the most awesome big brother we could ever have because He
never forgets about us, we need to keep in mind that other believers are our brothers and sisters and we
should do all we can to keep it that way.
