In Matthew 6:9-13, the Lord said: “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” (KJV)
In the following paragraphs, I will expound upon each
portion of the Lord’s Prayer so we can have a better understanding of what each part means.
Matthew 6:9: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.” By acknowledging God as our Father, we are telling Him that we know that He is the creator of all things; He is our Father, our maker. Hallowed be thy name: His name is Holy; He is Holy, He is sanctified.
Matthew 6:10: “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” We’re telling Him that we’re looking forward to His kingdom on earth. Because our will aligns with God’s, and because we know that if things happen according to our will that everything will just be messed up, we’re praying that His will is done on earth, just as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:11: “Give us this day our daily bread.” When Jesus was tempted in the desert, He
sent the devil packing when He said that we live by every Word that comes from
the mouth of the Lord. We trust our Father to provide us with nutrients for our bodies just as much as we trust Him to feed our souls.
If we don't trust God to nourish our starving souls, we’ll die spiritually.
Matthew 6:12: “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” It is vital for us to forgive others. Matthew
eighteen tells us that our Father will not forgive us if we don’t forgive everyone who has ever wronged us. Some things seem to be truly unforgivable, like being molested or having a child, a brother, sister, or a parent murdered in cold blood, but if you pray and ask God to help you forgive others, He will show you how.
Matthew 6:13: “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil.” Unfortunately, no one is immune to temptation. James, the brother of
Jesus said that temptation does not come from God.
Since the Lord will never entice us to do wrong, that leaves two other places from
where temptation comes: from ourselves or from the enemy. When we give in to our own lusts, whatever they may be, we step onto a path that quickly leads to destruction.
The enemy walks about seeking whom he may devour. However, if Jesus, our Holy example--whom we long to imitate--can resist temptation by standing upon God’s Holy Word, then so
should we.
The apostle Paul tells us that God will not allow us to be tempted beyond than
what we can bear. In first Corinthians 10:13, he proclaims that God will always
provide a way out when we are tempted.
If you have shadows in your heart or mind that are tempting you to behave ungodly, ask the Lord to permeate your mind and heart with His light. If you ask Him to purify you, He will because He is faithful.
Matthew 6:13: “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” Everything belongs to God. The Lord is all-powerful, glorious, and is eternal.
If you do not know how to pray eloquently, don't sweat it. The apostle Paul says
that God's Holy Spirit intercedes for us with words we cannot express. No matter how awkward that we may feel while praying, God’s Holy Spirit goes to the Lord on our behalf and asks the Lord for what we need.
Have you given up on church but not on God? If you, or someone you know, are
reconsidering some of the larger questions of life, then this is the book for you. This 30-day spiritual journey examines questions
about God, the Bible, faith and Jesus. It is written as a conversation, engaging Christian truth in a relevant, nonconfrontational

Worship is one of
Christianity's most misunderstood topics. This study explores what the Bible says about worship - what it is, when it happens,
where it takes place. Is it based on your emotions? Is it something that only happens on Sunday in church? Does it impact how you
serve? Each book in this series includes six 40-minute, easy to grasp lessons you can use personally or as part of a small group. No
homework is required, so everyone in the group can work through the lesson together at the same time. The NASB is quoted.

Google has a system that makes it possible, for the first time in the history
of the world, to deposit five bucks, write a couple of ads, and
instantly get access to over 100 million people - in less than 10
minutes.
It's called Google AdWords and it's hot. In fact it may
be the first and best thing to do to get traffic to your site.
But
it's not always as easy as I just made it sound - AdWords has some nuances,
and most people have a rough time at first. I know I did at first.
Well my colleague
Perry Marshall has written a very helpful e-course called "5 days to success
with Google AdWords" and there's no charge for it. You can find out about
it here:
