The Bossy Church Lady's First Ever Product Review... I Think
Okay, I know that this subject has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of my website, but I couldn't resist...especially after seeing a different,
even more ridiculous--if you can imagine!-- ad from the makers of Dermitage smack in the middle of an article
that I was reading today.
Don't flame me for what I'm about to say, please. Being a woman, I understand how hard it
is to face wrinkles and all of the other awful stuff that comes with aging, but
Okay, I know that this subject has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of my website, but I couldn't resist...especially after seeing a different,
even more ridiculous--if you can imagine!-- ad from the makers of Dermitage smack in the middle of an article
that I was reading today.
Don't flame me for what I'm about to say, please. Being a woman, I understand how hard it
is to face wrinkles and all of the other awful stuff that comes with aging, but please... there are NO PRODUCTS out there that will do what this company claims
that their cream can do. If you want that dramatic of results, you'll have to spend oodles of cash on cosmetic surgery.
Trust me, I'm pretty vain and I've tried just about everything --scrubs, chemical peels, creams, lotions, you name it! Nothing that potent (if there is such a thing) would ever be released to common folks like you and me
for a few measly bucks. No.
If there was such a thing, only the most powerful men
and women of the world --more powerful than dermatologists--would have it, and rightfully so.
If there was such a thing it would be too dangerous for us
simple folk to have-- every woman on the planet would be drop-dead gorgeous in ten seconds or less.
Within ten seconds a woman who is uglier than a sack of potatoes would be
magically transformed into a siren and if the product was sold worldwide, no men would ever get out of
bed--if you know what I mean.
If we were allowed to have such an incredible product who would be left to build
the buildings? Lay the asphalt for our cars to drive on? Think of it: There would be no wars!
No arguments for they would be halted in a mere ten seconds.
NOT!!!
Now for the reality about this product.
(I can't believe I was so bored that I actually did a search on the Internet to see what people thought about this
blatantly falsely advertised product!)
Want to venture a guess what I saw?
A multitude of chat boards filled with complaints about Dermitage and the complaints were fairly recent. Listed below are several links for some of the chat boards
I encountered:
Do yourself a favor: Be smart and avoid this company!
Now for something really cool. It says in 1 Corinthians 15:52 that we will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye. We'll all be perfect when we're raptured by the Lord.
Only then will we be perfect and young again.
Dante In Love is the story of the most famous journey in literature. Dante Alighieri, exiled from his home in Florence, a
fugitive from justice, followed a road in 1302 that took him first to the labyrinths of hell then up the healing mountain of
purgatory, and finally to paradise. He found a vision and a language that made him immortal.
Author Harriet Rubin follows
Dante's path along the old Jubilee routes that linked monasteries and all roads to Rome. It is a path followed by generations of
seekers--from T.S. Eliot, Sigmund Freud, Primo Levi, to Bruce Springsteen. After the poet fled Rome for Siena he walked along the
upper Arno, past La Verna, to Bibiena, to Cesena, and to the Po Plain.
During his nineteen year journy, Dante wrote his
"unfathomable heart song," as Thomas Carlyle called The Divine Comedy, a poem that explores the three states of the
psyche. Eliot, a lifelong student of the Comedy, said, "Dante and Shakespeare divide the modern world between them,
there is no third.
Dante In Love tells the story of the High Middle Ages, a time during which the artist Giotto was the
first to paint the sky blue, Francis of Assisi discovered knowledge in humility and the great doctors of the church mapped the soul
and stood back to admire their cathedrals. Dante's medieval world gave birth to the foundation of modern art, faith, and
commerce.
Dante and his fellow artistis were trying to decode God's art and in so doing unravel the double helix of creativity.
We meet the painters, church builders, and pilgrims from Florence to Rome to Venice and Verona who made the roads the center of
the medieval world. Following Dante's route, we are inspired to undertake journeys of discovering ourselves.

Since the end of World War II, the focus of world politics has
shifted from Europe and North America to the Middle East. Today's news media devote more attention to the Middle East than to
any other place on earth. And it is no accident that Israel, a nation no bigger than the state of New Jersey, continuously dominates
these headlines. Why has this tiny, struggling land become the fulcrum of human history? What is the main destructive force--hard
at work in the Middle East--that is threatening international peace and security? Who is controlling the events that will draw all
nations on earth into a final decision--a decision that will determine their very survival? These questions are explored in the
recently updated Promised Land. Intercessors, students of prophecy, and Christians who love Israel will want to read this
book to take a closer look at God's plan, unfolding through human history and culminating with the advent of his glorious kingdom
on earth. Save
