Why did
God allow His Son to die such a horrible death?
"Why did Jesus have to die?" is a popular question. In the following article, I'll explain why Jesus had to die for our sins.
In the beginning, God created human beings in His image: we were sinless and pure. Genesis 2 tells us that
Adam
and Eve weren't ashamed to run around buck naked and everything was good.
However, we read in Genesis 3 that Adam told God: “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
Did you catch that?
Once Adam realized that he had sinned, he was so ashamed that he tried to hide from God.
Not only that, but when God called Adam and Eve into account, they failed to take personal responsibility for their
actions, making true repentance impossible. Following that, God put a barrier between Himself and humans
when He made clothing of skin for Adam and Eve.
Since then, the human race has rebelled against God in one fashion or another.
Our own impure hearts have kept us separated from God. Psalm 58:3 tells us, “The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.” By quoting the above verses, I’m not saying that babies sin, I’m pointing out the fact that
all of our actions, good or bad, are tainted with evil; one selfish motive or
another is behind every good thing that we do.
Because all of us stand guilty of being sinners, the wrath of God is upon us
all. For this reason, He required a blood sacrifice to blot out our sins; however,
in short order, our sacrifices became perfunctory. And since God can not stand the truly unrepentant,
He required much more.
Imagine that someone intentionally smacked you upside the head and then mechanically said, “Oh, sorry,” and then did it again moments later. Suppose that he or she did it a hundred times a day. Would you believe that
his or her apologies are sincere? In the same way, if we were not truly repentant then we displease God.
In order to do away with the obligatory sacrifices, which are meaningless, God
came into this world to be the ultimate sacrifice for all of our sins,
past, present, and future. On our behalf, Christ Jesus, who is God, satisfied the righteous anger of God by taking the punishment that we deserve so that we could become God’s children
and have daily communion with Him like He intended.
Perhaps no Old Testament book is as far-reaching in envisioning historical events as the Book of Daniel. This classic of premillennial prophetic research explores the full sweep of Daniel's prophecies in the light of theological reflection and archaeological evidence. Ideally suited for teachers and preachers, it casts an attentive eye upon past and future fulfillment. 320 pages, softcover from Moody. Save

John Walvoord, a co-editor of the The Bible Knowledge Commentary, presents a thorough, comprehensive work covering biblical prophecy from a dispensational pre-millennial viewpoint. Working through the entire Bible segment by segment (Pentateuch, Minor Prophets, Pauline Epistles, etc.) and covering the major Prophetic books individually (Isaiah, Ezekiel, Revelation, etc.), Walvoord gives each prophecy and it's current condition - fulfilled, being fulfilled, to be fulfilled in the future.

Google has a system that makes it possible, for the first time in the history
of the world, to deposit five bucks, write a couple of ads, and
instantly get access to over 100 million people - in less than 10
minutes.
It's called Google AdWords and it's hot. In fact it may
be the first and best thing to do to get traffic to your site.
But
it's not always as easy as I just made it sound - AdWords has some nuances,
and most people have a rough time at first. I know I did at first.
Well my colleague
Perry Marshall has written a very helpful e-course called "5 days to success
with Google AdWords" and there's no charge for it. You can find out about
it here:
